Company’s Transition from Paper to Electronic Processing Recognized by Bottomline with ‘Think Green’ Award

PORTSMOUTH, NH – March 16, 2010 – Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY) a leading provider of collaborative payment, invoice and document automation solutions today announced that its customer, CMC Group, a provider of specialized printing and packaging solutions, has been named a “Think Green” Award winner. The company has been recognized for its use of a Bottomline solution to establish more environmentally-friendly business practices.

Since deploying Bottomline’s document process automation solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX in 2008, CMC Group has been able to dramatically increase the number of invoices sent electronically to customers and eliminate the use of paper packing slips. The reduction of paper used in purchase orders alone has conserved more than one ton of paper and approximately 26,000 gallons of gasoline, and has prevented the discharge of 20,000 gallons of wastewater1 – all in one year.
